Midterm Assessment

I feel my main struggling area are the floats still, because I am still trying to figure out how to use them correctly. What I have figured out when dealing with floats is, when you float elements to the left, everything wraps around to the right, and when you float elements to the right everything wraps around to the left. The way I figured this out was by doing an experiment using the floats and putting them right and left. The other thing I am having problems with is padding and margins I am getting confused on how much to add, and subtract.

When it comes to the classes and ID's I understand the concept uses very well, in terms of when to use a div id and a div class. The other things I am comfortable with are the CSS sheets. I am finding by creating the parent child relationships, I am able to have more control in terms of selecting certain elements only and not having the rest be effected. The other thing I like doing the most is setting up links using CSS, before I was using image ready to load links, and now I see that setting up block links is super easy and more effective when loading websites, using dreamweaver.

Overall, I feel somewhat comfortable with what is going on in the class, but I feel with more practice outside the classroom I should be able to make more effective website designs.
